Nancy Raabe is a 2022 Engle Preaching Fellow at Princeton Theological Seminary. Her studies of the preaching ministry included work at the Festival of Homiletics in 2015.
Pastor Raabe's complete musical setting of a Christian funeral liturgy, Life Is Ours Eternally, was presented at the 2010 Valparaiso University Institute for Liturgical Studies (ILS). Nancy's musical compositions for the baptism liturgy were featured at the 2018 ILS.
In November 2015, Nancy Raabe received the Award of the Concordia Historical Institute recognizing the importance of her book, Carl Schalk: A Life in Song, in carrying forward the legacy of the Lutheran Church in this country.
Pastor Raabe's original arrangement of I Dream A World was a finalist for first prize at the 2010 Ithaca College Choral Composition Festival.
In the 1990s, Nancy Raabe taught the courses Music Theory and Women in Music at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

In 1997, Bill and Nancy Raabe endowed an award to recognize excellence in compositions of sacred music. The Raabe Prize is given biennially by the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians.

Nancy M Raabe is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Pomona College in music (1977), and of Trinity Lutheran Seminary (OH) with two graduate degrees in theology. In 2017, Nancy completed the requirements for her ordination at Wartburg Theological Seminary (IA). She also is a doctoral candidate in musicology at Brandeis University (MA).
Nancy was the classical music critic for the Milwaukee Sentinel and for the Birmingham News. Her articles also have appeared in the New York Times, Boston Globe, American Music Guide, Opera News, Columbus Dispatch, and Playbill.
Nancy M Raabe is the founding editor of the ALCM newsletter In Tempo, in which appeared her column Prairie View. Her column Both Sides Now appears in In Tempo, and her monthly column Faith and Culture appeared in the Beloit Daily News. Pastor Raabe is a member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Church Music.
Rev Nancy M Raabe lives in Philadelphia with her husband Bill Raabe, a retired academic. They have two adult children, daughter Margaret (Philadelphia), and son Martin (Minneapolis).
